Wrexham celebrated their first Championship win of the season with a commanding 3-0 triumph over Millwall, igniting their prospects for a Premier League promotion push. After starting the season with draws against Cardiff and Watford and a subsequent home loss to Birmingham, Wrexham bounced back with authority in south London.

The breakthrough came in the first half when Zak Sturge inadvertently turned Issa Kaboré’s cross into his own net, putting Wrexham ahead. Kieffer Moore extended the lead shortly after the interval with a striking effort from around 20 yards. Jacques Ekomié capped off the scoring with a close-range finish, sealing a convincing victory for Wrexham.

This defeat marked another setback for Millwall, who have now conceded eight goals in their last two outings after initially starting the season with consecutive clean-sheet victories. The team’s woes were exacerbated by injuries to forward Josh Coburn and midfielder Casper De Norre.

In other matches, QPR continued their robust start with a 2-1 win over Cardiff at Loftus Road. Rumarn Burrell netted both goals for QPR, while Perry Ng managed to score for Cardiff. This victory elevated QPR to 10 points from their first four matches.

Meanwhile, Burnley played out a 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough at Turf Moor. Middlesbrough’s Aidan Morris opened the scoring in the first half, but Burnley’s Ugo Raghouber equalised shortly after the break. Charlton also maintained their unbeaten streak by drawing 1-1 with West Brom. Callum Styles scored for West Brom before Tyreece Campbell levelled the match in the second half.
