A New Cold War? US Faces a Coalition, Not a Single Rival

by admin477351

The geopolitical landscape is shifting from a single-rival dynamic to a multi-polar coalition, raising fears of a new kind of Cold War. The unified front presented by Russia, China, and India at the SCO summit has prompted one US analyst to warn that America now faces a united opposition.

Commentator Van Jones described the summit as a “historically big deal,” stating the image of the three leaders together signals a “new world order.” Unlike the original Cold War, where the US faced the Soviet Union, it now confronts a powerful bloc of nations that are coordinating their challenge to American dominance.

This coalition has been solidified by the US administration’s aggressive tariff strategy. The economic pressure has backfired, creating a shared sense of purpose among these diverse powers. Their summit was a public declaration of their intent to resist American hegemony collectively.

Jones starkly outlined the new reality: the US is “on the bad side of the triangle.” He argued that America is no longer pulling the strings but is now the isolated party. “It’s everybody against us,” he lamented, a situation he believes is “not good for America.”
