Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has unveiled significant infrastructure and development plans for the Brus municipality during his visit to the Rasina District. Highlighting the initiative, Vučić announced an investment of roughly €6 million aimed at road reconstruction. This project, which is expected to result in the paving of 15 kilometers of roads, is targeted for completion by the end of October, aiming to enhance road access for almost every village within the municipality.
In addition to road improvements, President Vučić shared plans for the Vignjište water-supply project, valued at €2 million. The construction is anticipated to commence by the end of the year, marking another significant development initiative in the region. Further boosting local employment prospects, discussions are ongoing with a potential investor about a new factory that could generate approximately 200 jobs for the community.
During his visit, Vučić also toured an organic fruit-processing company, where he discussed the potential for government support to bolster local businesses. This support includes non-refundable funding of around €42,000 and Development Fund loans with fixed interest rates ranging from 2 to 2.5 percent, specifically for the acquisition of machinery. Such measures aim to stimulate economic growth and enhance the operational capabilities of businesses in the area.
Looking ahead, President Vučić announced his plans to attend the opening of a new robot factory scheduled for August 29 in Šabac. This event is expected to underscore the ongoing commitment to fostering technological advancement and economic development in Serbia. The combination of infrastructure projects, water supply improvements, and business support initiatives highlights the government’s strategic focus on enhancing the quality of life and economic opportunities in the region.
